Meet Jonathan London

Being a curly girl, I find that I am always running into other curlies from all over the world or they find me. When I saw Jonathan's awesome hair, I had to find out more about it. Curls have always been my obsession but lately it's been heightened. I was just going to do a very short interview with Jonathan on his hair routine but, I found out that there was so much more to him than just hair. Let's learn a bit about this half  Black half East Indian Model/Actor/Businessman

1.CCL-Please introduce yourself

JL- My name is Jonathan London, I am a TV and film actor from Chicago. I got my start in modeling and acting in magazines and music videos but as I grew and developed in the industry I came across many people that I was able to learn quickly from and move on to different things. I know many people also know me in a different way because I also am CEO of GoViral Media Group, Inc. Sometimes I feel like I have multiple personalities because I have to be so many different people and wear so many hats and I rarely let my worlds cross. I had a long-standing role on Boss on Starz with Kelsey Grammar which is where many people know me from, along with other shows like Chicagolicious and Chicago Fire.

2. CCL-Tell me about a project or accomplishment that you consider to be the most significant in your career.

JL-As far as my most significant accomplishment, it's hard to pick just one, because all I think about is all of the blood and sweat to get each one. But if I had to choose one, it would be this movie role I just landed with Emmy Award winning producer Shawn Rech. I am playing the lead role in his new movie "Chain of Custody". It's a really cool movie, with some of the best writers and producers in the world working on it, I love working with the guys at Pinpoint Media out in Cleveland, their process is amazing.

3. CCL-What are your hobbies/interests outside of your career?

JL- I work out like a maniac. Any second that I can get away from my hectic schedule I head to the gym to get a good workout in and play basketball. Health is really important to me. I am a vegetarian but I'm not the type that tries to force my diet on anybody else. I am also a beer connoisseur and like to go out and try new craft beers.

4. CCL-Who are a few of the celebrities/influential people you've worked with?

JL- I've had the opportunity to work with some really great people. Just in the last couple of years I have worked on projects with people like the one and only R. Kelly, Kelsey Grammer and Mario Van Peebles on Boss, Christian Slater and Steve Zahn on Mind Games and the pilot Influence. I also met Jerry Springer on set for his guest appearance on Chicagolicious, he's actually a very funny guy outside of his show, he definitely has a big presence on set. Of course I've also had the opportunity to work with Taylor Kinney on Chicago Fire. Shawn Rech has been really influential in helping me move my acting career outside of Chicago and working on Film projects from the ground up. That way I have more control on the outcome as well. Other people that have been influential are people like Joan O'Connor who spends most of her time casting top talent for commercial projects. She actually approached me in a restaurant while I was eating with friends and told me about a project she thought I had a good look for. Being "discovered" meant to me like I had finally made it and that acting was my destiny. She just happened to be the second Emmy-award winner I was suddenly working with in just a few weeks time. A lot of it is just being in the right place at the right time and I constantly found myself stumbling into opportunities I couldn't have planned for even if I tried.

5. CCL-5. That hair is absolutely fabulous! Please share your hair care routine with us.

JL- Thanks! Simplicity is everything for me. I just wash my hair, put whatever random conditioner I have, comb it through, rinse it and then put gel and just let it air dry.

6. CCL-What are your plans for the future?

JL-My plans for the future are to become a household name. Most importantly I want to be able to give back to the world in a way that only few people can say they have the opportunity to do. I feel like without a Legacy that people will want to remember for centuries to come, there is no point in being alive, what's the point? I want my name in the history books for something that really impacts people and can change how people act and feel towards each other. For right now, I think that acting is on the right path for that future.

 7. CCL-What is one thing you've always wanted to do but haven't done yet?

JL-One thing that I would like to do that I have never done is go into outer space. In our lifetimes they will have several private trips to space, but the ticket will cost millions. That is why I am working hard as an actor so that I can do things like that where only a select few people in the world will be able to experience something so cool and inspirational.

I had so much fun interviewing him and hope you all enjoyed the interview. Keep an eye out for him on the tube and mags.
